It depends on your goals. At Barringer Law Firm, we evaluate your situation and help you choose the visa that best fits your needs—whether it is for work, family, studies, investment, or protection. We have extensive experience with work visas (H‑1B, H‑2A, H‑2B), family visas, fiancé(e) visas, student and sports visas, green cards, naturalization, and more. Our legal team is prepared to guide you through the entire process—clearly and without confusion.

Yes. At Barringer Law Firm, we help U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents legally sponsor immediate family members, including spouses, children, parents, siblings, or fiancé(e)s. The process starts with Form I‑130 (Petition for Alien Relative), or Form I‑129F for fiancé(e) visas. From there, financial documents must be submitted, additional applications completed, and an interview attended. We know it can be a long and complex process. That is why our legal team is with you every step of the way—to help you and your family reunite safely and legally in the U.S.

Having a deportation order does not mean you are without options. At Barringer Law Firm, our experienced attorneys review your case and may help you request relief such as asylum or cancellation of removal. If you are a permanent resident, you may qualify for 42A cancellation. If you are not, but have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years, you could qualify for 42B cancellation—provided you meet certain requirements such as good moral character and proving your removal would cause extreme hardship to a qualifying relative. Do not sign anything without legal advice. Our team is ready to defend your rights and guide you through the process.

Yes. If you are a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR), you can file a visa petition to become a family sponsor. Under current categories, you can petition for your spouse, unmarried children under 21, or unmarried sons or daughters of any age. At Barringer Law Firm, we guide you through the full process to make sure your petition is properly filed and your family is one step closer to lawful residency.

If you have been a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) for at least 5 years, or 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen, you may be eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship through naturalization. You must also meet other requirements: be at least 18 years old, have good moral character, and be able to read, write, and speak basic English—as well as pass a U.S. history and civics test. We guide you through every step: from preparing and submitting your N‑400 application, to your interview, exam, and Oath of Allegiance. If you’re unsure about your eligibility or ready to start, our team is here to help.

There are several ways to become a Lawful Permanent Resident in the U.S. At Barringer Law Firm, we help clients obtain a Green Card through family petitions, employment visas, asylum, investment, or as victims of certain crimes. The process varies depending on your case, but generally starts with an immigrant petition and filing Form I‑485. Our attorneys guide you step by step to help increase your chances of success in this competitive and demanding process.

If you are a U.S. citizen and wish to marry a foreign national, there are two main immigration options: • Fiancé(e) Visa (K‑1): allows your partner to enter the U.S. to marry within 90 days of arrival. The process begins with Form I‑129F. • Marriage-based residency: if you’re already married, you can petition for your spouse to obtain a Green Card through the family sponsorship process. At Barringer Law Firm, we’ll help you choose the most appropriate path and ensure that your case is filed clearly, accurately, and without unnecessary delays.

In some cases, you may apply for a work permit (EAD) while your application for residency, asylum, or TPS is being processed. We evaluate your eligibility and guide you through the necessary steps so you can work legally while your case is pending.
